Best Goals Scored Against Us

We have let in a fair few crackers in our time
Would be interested to here your thoughts
I'll kick off with Ricky Villa's for Spurs in '79.
Was on telly.
Was at Holmesdale End.
He stood outside pen area to the left of of goal and hit it into John Burridge's near post under the cross bar.
Steve McMahan's for Liv in Semi Final was pretty good too.
The more obscure the game the better

Neil Redfern for Barnsley (Midweek game) we were all over them and he hit a screamer from about 25 yds 85 minute

No contest. Jeff Hopkins for Millwall after 2 mins, from near the touchline when we beat them 4-3.

Gascoigne 1988 FA Cup 3rd Round at Newcastle - 45 yard screamer. Georgie Wood, in his last game for us, never smelt it.

Gazza claimed a couple of years ago it was still the best goal he's ever scored.

NRM is playing for a contract
Peter Beardsley for Newcastle in 1996. They were top of the league but we matched them all game, then in the last minute he came up with a screamer

Klinnsman for Tottenham, about easter time '95. A brilliant curling free kick, to equalise in the last minute.

Should never have been given the free kick in the first place, obviously.

Shearer on his Blackburn debut at the Holmesdale end - two rather reasonable efforts.

Now you mention it Neil this one has to be it.
As I recall it was a free kick tapped short and he hit it first time like an exocet. Pistike and I were right behind it and it was always going in.
Are you sure it was '88?

Fairly sure, I think we played Stoke in 3rd round in 1989 (lost 1-0 late on) and then Gazza joined Spurs later that year.

Couldn't have been '87 (Forest & Spurs) and I wouldn't have been able to afford to go in Jan 1986.
