Bayern Munich tickets
Hi!

Looks like I'm going to Munich with the missus in a few weeks and it conveniently appears that Bayern play Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena while we are there! (Don't know how that happened!! )

Has anybody here been before? Any advice on the best way to get hold of tickets would be much appreciated!

Sorry to be the one to tell you, but the game's already sold out.

Will see if there's any other games nearby to go to. You don't really want to go and see Bayern anyway

It did cross my mind it may have. I looked at their recent attendences and they were all 69,000.

Just had a quick flick around some of the more genuine ticket sites & you're looking over Euro100 to get a ticket. Seriously not worth it. Unfortunately the only leagues on that weekend are the top 2 divs.

On Saturday you could get to VfB Stuttgart v Wolfsburg - still tickets available & likely to be ok on the day as VfB are having a bad season. Alternatively you could drop a division to 2.Liga and go to Greuther Furth with no ticket worries at all - both are about an hour/hour and fifteen away by train. On Sunday, Augsburg are at home (think they moved into a new ground this season) and that's only 45 mins by train - 2.Liga again.

May try and go to the Stuttgart game then, although to be honest, having done the Bernabeau, the Nou Camp and the San Siro I just wanted to visit the Allianz Arena

Oh well, there'll be other opportunities! I doubt the missus will be too upset

Stuttgart's ground is currently being rebuilt so tickets may not be as easy to come by as usual - one of the ends is out of use.

Augsburg have indeed moved to a new ground this season and as an added bonus you might get to see Sandor Torghelle in action although he was out injured when I saw the last game on Augsburg's old ground last May :-(

I was only there for 2 nights in November, but I thought Stuttgart was a dull place so if you do go for a match, I wouldn't bother hanging around after game!

Munich's meant to be a top place though, enjoy it!

I would go see the VfB Stuttgart v Wolfsburg - Wolfsburg are a very good side - BM aren't having a great season! - but i guess it is the Alliance!

Sadly it is (and the away end too - I did check!). Bayern are at home in the cup against Greuther Furth on the 10th though - tickets available for that.

Yeah I saw that. I suppose we could go a day early (we were gonna arrive on the 11th and have Valentines Day as our last night).

How would I get tickets? I assume they'd probably drop a few first teamers?

Given you're this far in advance then you can buy online & they'll send them over. Failing that you (should) be ok on the day. Might be worth ringing the club and asking as they'll all speak english. I expect a few first teamers will be rested, but Greuther aren't a walkover so they'll take it fairly seriously. Looks like a 50,000+ crowd already. A fun one would be to contact Greuther and see if they will send you tickets for the away end. That will be a great laugh.

If you still go out on the weekend then Augsburg v Fortuna Dusseldorf on the Sunday should be a cracker. Two teams chasing promotion, new ground, Fortuna travel in numbers so will create an atmosphere - plus as already said on here, Augsburg is a lovely place.

greuther furth at home! That brings back memories of when I used to live out there. They play at the amusingly named PlayMobil stadium and it really looks like it has been built out of PlayMobil. They have multicoloured floodlight pylons. Back in the day Nii Lamptey (previously with Aston Villa) used to play for them.
