What bugs me about golf is how these companies can justify charging £600 for a set of clubs, £10-£15 for 3 balls, £50 for a polo shirt I could go on.

mid irons not so flash today; TaylorMade R9 driver and 3wood going a treat.
greens a bit slow for my liking - didn't putt so well.
par-ed the hardest 2 holes, which is always nice.

Played yesterday at Tidworth. 40 points = Happy days.

Had a lesson two weeks ago where I had to change my grip (to strong), losing shots to the left. Felt extremely uncomfortable at first but it is coming together now.

Had a pretty good weekend - won the Silver Medal (Division 2) with a nett 69 (also lowest overall score) and had a HC cut to 24.8 on Saturday, then won my first round singles KO matchplay on Sunday on the 19th against a 14 handicapper - in the most appalling conditions. And got back in time to see the great escape!

Links golf at the extreme, of the 18 holes you have 7 blind tee shots and 9 blind approach shots and the wind is almost always at least a 3 club wind

Playing at a Help For Heroes charity event next Friday with George Graham and Frank McLintock, my friend who invited me is good friends with Chris Fountain (from Hollyoaks) so he might be playing as well. Needless to say I'm a bit nervous!
