Don't know if it was mentioned a couple of days ago but Geox got a wildcard for the Giro so Menchov and Sastre will be going for it which is great news to those of us looking forward to it.

Tomorrow's stage:



I know a lot of the start of this stage. St Symphorien-sur-Coise isn't that far from Lyon and we often do a big part of the opening 30-40km. There is in fact a long climb before the first Cat. 3 one. If we do long summer rides (120-150km), we'll take in the Col de la Croix de Chaubouret near St Etienne which is long and quite hard. The final climb looks very hard too. The favourites will all be there at the finish. I'm going for N.Roche for a surprise victory.

Looked like Sanchez had a problem with a gear change in the run in from an aerial view I saw earlier. Not sure though.

Yeah, he blew it twice in fact. He made a go for it, with just under 1km to go, from the back trying to surprise the others, but one of the riders near the front moved to the right without knowing Sanchez was about to overtake him and blocked him out. Without that dodgy gear change in the final 100m he would surely have won.
