didn't we pay 600k for kg? I think we could pay a bit more to sign a player we actually need.

What I have heard is that we enquired about loan deal, although this was from Saints not club. One of the current squad is related to him which may help us out though.

Talk of Jason Puncheon to #cpfc. Eagles are admirers but Southampton asking for £1m - would only happen if Clyne/Zaha sold.
Zaha certainly wont be sold, not to sure that Clyne will be either. So looks like a no go-er.

Would be very happy with him, but it seems improbable. If we need to flog Clyne to get him I'd do it

Not sure why so many are so keen on a player who has impacted early on in his loan moves (similar to Bostock) but who none of the clubs will subsequently take a risk on, especially for the silly money being talked about. He is a troubled 'bit of a lad' lad from what I have heard (third hand source nephew of one of our greatest players)

I think you will find both Millwall and Blackpool both wanted to buy him back permanently-so your last statement is incorrect. I do however agree with you that it is a lot of money and 1m is too much, hence why he hasn't rejoined those clubs permanently. |

There is no way CPFC2010 or Dougie would think of taking him on for the silly money being talked about. If he was THAT good pool would have been tempted. Still believe he makes a quick impact and fades (Tommy Black?). As the South African left winger is almost certainly coming in the summer and Williams will be back soon we would not cough up silly money for someone Southampton are obviously keen to be rid of, would we?

I don't think so. |

Depends what Dougie sees in him. Plenty of managers have done well with other club's cast offs. Sometimes they just need to find the right club and the right manager to click.
