Is anyone else dissapointed by them using the same backgrounds for every dungeon? For example or sewers/moutain paths/homes are exactly the same.

Also I started as a warrior and got board quickly of the battles, constant hacking away for ages before the enemy dies.

Yeah, seems a bit of a cop out.
Especially as on the little map you can see the outlines of the other times you've been there
At least could've got rid of that, and hidden the doors rather than just making them unopenable

Noticed this yesterday. Poor. Also I ended up on 41 gold and u need 50g to end chapter 1. It looked like the only way to progress was to have the dwarf pay for me, bit that wasn't an option for me as im going for full gamerscore and this loan forfeits the achievement. I spent 2 hours traversing the land looking for enemies or look to raise enough cash, all I found was a barren wasteland in every map! Enemies only spawn if ur on a quest. Bizarre. Eventually I had no option but to download the dlc to get a couple more quests and raise enough ( still had to sell ALL my potions though). Bad planning, punishes you for wanting to spend a few coin on equipment for your party. However just started act 2 killed a giant spider, can't wait to get back into it again

At the end of Act 2 and have stopped playing, tentatively awaiting a patch.

Sad panda...

The Isabela/Sebastian friendship passive ablility glitch, has rendered the game unplayable. I'm moving in slow motion and have damage resistance -23%!

I'm genuinely concerned that a patch won't fix the saved games.

Like I said, sad panda. The anger will come later...

I don't know about this glitch. What happens? Who is Sebastian? I haven't met him yet. Can you not turn of the ability or remove on from your party for the time being?

yeah, it came with the Signature Edition (the early pre-order version of the game) or can be bought separately. I haven't noticed the bug affecting me yet, but it's astonishing that a bug that easy to reproduce and explain hasn't been patched within days of being found. For those that hven't yet come across it, a high enough friendship with Isabella gives you a passive bonus to movement/attack speed while she's in the party, but removing her from the party in the wrong way permanently removes the bonus from your base stats. in a similar way, there's a potion in some bonus DLC that lets you re-organise and re-spend your stat/skill points, but do it "wrong" and the game will add back on the base number of skill points you should have started the game with, on top of those that you're re-spending. it's a rotten and easy cheat to match the rotten and easy speed loss. See also the infinite XP trick. Bioware suck immensely at QA

the code for the DLC was on a separate bit of paper behind the manual in the box, one side had a code to download the soundtrack and the other had the Online Pass code for the DLC. Currently on Act erm something (where you're labelled the Champion of Kirkwall) and I have no idea how much I have left or what I'm going to do with myself when I'm done

Last weekend I managed to complete all of the achievements for Dragon Age 2 and it's DLC.

Despite some obvious flaws (reused environments is the worst) and a big change of direction from DA:O (I actually like the framed narrative) it was bloody awesome and I loved it from start to finish. Possibly the best story telling in a game...

And Merrill is so awesome it's unreal.
