In answer to the questions about numbers sold, it's impossible to tell if the posters helped but they made a lot of people feel happy when they saw them anyway... We are still hoping to have nearly 9000 season ticket holders. The number is now about 8650. Steve

This question must have been asked many times before, but do season ticket holders seats count towards the match attendance even if they don't turn up for the match?

I ask because some times the attendance announced over the tanoy seems far greater than the actual crowd at the match.

I think alot miss the early season games due to holidays and the end of season games when there's nothing to play for also midweek games can be a problem for school kids .
Would like to see 1930 kick-offs at midweek games and only 10 min half-time breaks .

i would be amazed if it were that many
that would be about a quarter of s/t holders
i think its more likely to be less than 10%

I've mentioned this before but I believe this is due to the apathy that is created from the long-term season tickets that Jordan sold for around £200-£300, meaning that there is less incentive to "get your monies worth" out of the tickets. They are not a good thing for the long term sustainability of a football club.

I was amazed when I was told too. It was before the midweek Portsmouth game last season, where I was told that while the crowd would officially be around 14,000 it would actually be about 11,000 because of missing season ticket holders and that this was fairly regularly the case. I'm sure it's a much smaller number that don't show up on a Saturday afternoon.

How are the sales going have they cracked the 9000 figure yet and steaming towards 10.000 or has it fizzled out?
