These are two photos I have from the Palace v Pool game that was abandoned which i thought you might like to view.

"Saturday 28th December 1968 - London’s only League game was abandoned by the referee at half time in the second Division encounter between Cyrstal Palace and Blackpool. The Seasiders re-visited Selhurst Palace on January 25th on another very cold day finding themselves a goal down at the interval when Kember scored for the home team, but a second half rally by Pool goals from Craven and a penalty from Johnstone gave Pool a 2-1 win in front of 17,003 crowd."

Great pictures; thanks very much for these.

I'm somwhere on the edge of bottom left - we usually stood behind the half-time scorebord.

I wonder if CPFC2010 plan to bring this kit back for next season? Steve B did mention that we would all love the kit and the design is destinctively Palace.

And thanks to The Seasider for those pictures - they look like they must have been taken by a press photographer pitch-side. Not your normal angles.

That Players No. 10 advert on the floodlight pylon was still there about 20 years later.

Them or Sovereign were poor mans boys) No.6. Could stretch to either with my dinner money but No.6 were a luxury.

Those or Sovereign were the poor mans (or boys) version of No.6. My dinner money could just manage 10 of either. No.6 were for high days and holidays.

Hope this works as I have never attached pictures before.

I have attached a picture of the Whitehorse Lane on 7 May 1983 v Derby, and two pictures of a packed Selhurst when we played West Ham in the FA Cup in 1984 (I think)

Note there is no over-the-top segregation in the Arthur Wait

I was stood in the kids bit behind the front wall of the Holmesdale, probably somewhere near that Canon advert. Great to be so close to the action in those days.

Also remember that West Ham fans kindly mingled in with our supporters in the Arthur - didn't become apparent until we took the lead though

Saturday 7 May 1983 was the day my first son Tom was born.He was born in the early hours of the morning and having been back to see my wife and new son in hospital in the afternoon I was driving into our Close as the closing headlines came through before Sports Report (on Radio 2 in those days);

"....in Division One Crystal Palace have beaten Derby 4-1 which I think makes them safe and the final whistle has gone at The Goldstone Ground, Brighton have lost to Manchester City and are relegated...."

Amazed at the size of the crowd. I thought that was a bad time for us in the 80s
