Bus in a Clown
I have read many times that Charlton pick up "supporters" in Kent but I was staggered when told by a neighbour here in Worthing that for the match against Brentford over the New Year ( he is a Brentford supporter ) he went up on their coach from Lyons Farm ( a small retail park just outside Worthing )
It cost him £7 and stopped in Lancing and Shoreham before heading up the A23 where several further stops were made. How can this be cost effective for a first division team? If it is then Palace should certainly think of doing something similar to places outside the normal catchment area. Incidentally, whether I like it or not this is of course,'Weed territory upon which the Clowns are encroaching.l

I thought it actually stopped in Brighton as well. Palace are running one for the Leeds game from Canterbury via Maidstone etc but I believe it costs £10, which seems a bit excessive to me.
I think ideas are like this are vital for clubs like ours. Brighton fan at work told me they have about 100 similar coaches for each home game! (which I find hard to believe but if so potentially 5,000 fans) |

I don't for a second condone violence, but I can't help thinking that there would be a lot more interest in a thread called 'Stave in a Clown'.

But flashing your phallic balloon collection in front of Weed kids whilst doing a tosser sign at a cameraman isn't exactly the best way to endear yourself to the locals. Charlton fans......,tsk http://www.seagulls.co.uk/javaImages...9282920,00.jpg

Should have looked at this years ago but Simon Jordan would rather have his pride than admit something Charlton is doing is really good.
