Why do the Jocks continually allow their anthem to be raped by the resident band and/or singer at sporting events? The Irish band at Saturday's rugby match made it sound like a waltz. At other events there have been soppy choir-persons singing and making the whole thing sound like a poof-house ensemble. (Not that I've got anything against the poofs, mind).

The Scottish teams should have their own resident pipers who walk onto the field of play go up to the incumbent band master and tell him and his mates to "baggar arf and gooze tha' trussocks" and then play the tune properly.

That is all.

If anyone saw the Mcallister boxing fight in Aberdeen then I would have to agree, sounded liked he had been plucked from the crowd.

Anthem? It's only a dreary imitation folk song written by some bloke in The Corries in the 1960s.
They'll never beat anyone 'til they find something better.
(Though having said that, the Italians - who have the best anthem of the lot imho - never beat anyone either.)
