he has done alright with the weed but it would annoy me massively if I was a weed fan and there he is again openly touting himself for other jobs.

to be fair I can't see many managers running to take the chelsea job, who would want to work with Abramovic?

What, get a two and a half or 3 year deal, and then only have to work for a few months of it before getting paid off in full ?

Because he's high profile and has long-standing connections with Chelsea and Spurs, he gets asked by reporters time and again if he'd be interested. I would rather have someone who goes about their job quietly, gets the results we need to stabilise for next season.

I would hate it if the Doug was constantly in the papers saying Palace were his stepping stone and everytime a job comes up at a bigger club going to the media to throw his hat into the ring because he is the new messiah.

Totally agree. Anyone would think that The 'Weed are the first club ever to be 'on the up'.

As someone said before, many clubs have come up from Div 2 and made a good start in this division before suffering second season syndrome.

Bearing in mind the lack of 'Weed posters after 27/9 I am sure we can expect a mass exodus of away fan posters when the inevitable occurs next season.

You see this is the point you never seem capable of grasping.

Gus isn't "going to the media throwing his hat into the ring" at all. He never even raises the subject. Its the media coming to HIM. Seemingly every time there is a press conference he gets asked the same old drivel by lazy hacks looking to fill a couple of column inches, and he gives the same stock answer.

He's very happy at Brighton
He's on a long term deal
He wants to manage in the Premier League, and intends to do that with Brighton
If its not happened in a few years time, or if a "special" job comes up in the meantime, then he will have a decision to make

He's hardly going to sit there and rule himself out of the Chelsea or Spurs job if it were offered, because he would sound stupid and everyone would know he is lying. So whats the point of that ?

Its such a boring non-story I cannot believe you lot have even bothered repeating it yet again on here.
