The restrictions for the Brighton, Millwall & West Ham games this season were ridiculous and discouraged home and away fans from going (things like having to have a booking history, no tickets on the day etc). When the away fans were in their original place next to the Holmesdale there was very little trouble other than a few plastic bottles being thrown around, and yet the police have introduced these new draconian restrictions. It is the police themselves who will insist on having the extra police in the ground, not the club. |

Bung away fans in whitehorse, move family sections into AW with a nice lounge. Nice lounge with Palace ale. Noise stays in. Job done

Southampton didn't have the whole AW that game as I was sitting there that day & trust me three quarters of the AW went into absolute joy when ventola scored.

The away fans won't be in the WHL end on a permanent basis whilst the executive boxes remain at that end.
End of.

Is there an away end at Fulham? seems to me one end behind the goal is a mixed affair. Many have said that AW is a neautral stand which I never got and prob never will. As for the Southampton game I think 6k for the Saints fans could have half of block s then blocks t u v w and half of x . Unless we get a good run before I cant see us needing tickets in Y and whats left of it block z.

Generally, us AW-ers accept the need to move about from time-to-time. I think we've recovered from the main reconfiguration in 2010 which was done less than sensitively (though it seems the AW has now been unofficially designated as standing area for big matches, which is a pain for the disabled amongst us).
No problem moving for Soton as I fully expected the leaders to be given the seats from the start of March. I will still need convincing of the need to move in January for a team in mid-table (Leeds), though. However, my biggest bug-bear is moving away from block Y only to roll up to the ground to find that Palace fans are being housed in that area, even when all other home areas are far from sold out. I still haven't had a response about this. Why are Palace fans there if it's meant to be a sterile area and if some Palace are allowed to sit there, why can't the season ticket holders stay (you know who I am and where I live if I get up to no good)?

even though i agree in principle given up the biggest stand to the away fans for financial reasons, i totally hate going to home games and feeling like the away team, totally ruins it for me, and to be honest puts me off going.
It also caused me to change my season ticket last year to the cheaper holmsdale from the aw, cant be asked with the moving around.
