Sexual Assualt Update
Out of interest, whats the latest? Last I heard was that they were released on bail until 21st March. Is this when a hearing would be or is it a case of police have up until that date to get sufficient evidence to charge them?

Genuinely interested not looking for a thread of abuse or insider stories that will get the thread pulled

Not that i'm suggesting anything, but Dunk doesn't seem to have appeared much recently, if at all. Surely, that's not due to his comedy own goal?

And that's a serious question, as 6 weeks ago he was being touted as the best thing since sliced bread, and now he's faded out of the team.

Nothing official or rumoured at pres Chris, no idea......... Dunk though I think is out of the team for one of a couple of reasons, Greer Capt and El Abd have been playing really well and until Saturday we were unbeaten in 2012 so why change that?

Its not really a case of burying heads in the sand, more a case that a load of potentially libellous posts on NSC could have put Bozza (NSC Overlord) right in the cart.

We all know exactly how those type of threads would go, with speculation and pisstaking galore, inevitably some dingbat would overstep the mark. Bozza did right by playing it safe.

That's somewhat inaccurate.

The news was first broken on NSC when I personally posted about it - it was literally the first anyone had heard about it and was long before the BBC and the daily nationals picked up on it.

Shortly after I received some advice about the precarious nature of discussion on the subject and, so, for a while at least, asked everyone to keep discussion off the board.

We then allowed conversation but requested people to keep it to a single thread in order to keep the moderation effort relatively light. This was to both protect the site (and owner: me) as well as those making posts who could be subject to legal action themselves if they went too far.

New threads were either merged into the main thread or closed. Those that did stray too far into specifics of the case were deleted for the good of all involved.

That thread has been live ever since and was posted to only yesterday (I would post the URL but I'm under the post count threshold).

Shortly after I received some advice about the precarious nature of discussion on the subject and, so, for a while at least, asked everyone to keep discussion off the board.

We then allowed conversation but requested people to keep it to a single thread in order to keep the moderation effort relatively light. This was to both protect the site (and owner: me) as well as those making posts who could be subject to legal action themselves if they went too far.

New threads were either merged into the main thread or closed. Those that did stray too far into specifics of the case were deleted for the good of all involved.

That thread has been live ever since and was posted to only yesterday (I would post the URL but I'm under the post count threshold).

is this THE bozza from NSC? any chance of unbanning me

This entire case is taking the piss now. Dunk and Co now have to return to the police station 2 days before a potential play-off final and ELEVEN months after the incident occurred.

If there is concrete proof that they did anything, then why is it being dragged out for this long? As for Dunk, I think Poyet has made a case of not playing him as much because

A) Adam El-Abd is back.

B) Concentration. Talking as somebody who has had bogus sexual assault claims made against them, it does mess with your head and you find yourself all over the place. Hardly the state to be playing football in!
