Italian Strikers
As Dougie is modelling us on the Italian style, does anyone know any decent strikers in our price range?

A quick check on Serie B top goalscorers is interesting, the only foreign players they have are Brazilian (Ciro Immobile sounds like a quality striker but unfortunately out of our range).

It depends what you define our price range to be, I can't see that anyone scoring more than 15 in a season in Serie B will be in our price range if their contract runs beyond the summer, sadly. I'd say we should be looking at some of our overseas players to use their contacts and see if we could get a promising South African, Australian or Scandinavian in. I don't think that even the top scorers in their respective domestic leagues would cost too much and the step up to the Championship is enough of a lure to make the move. I think players in Serie B would be happier to stay there with the prospect of playing in Serie A in the near future. Obviously there could be some exceptions to this and hopefully Doug and his scouting team could find one.

Marco Sau has a good record so far and apparently valued at £800k (though how that's worked out I have no idea!)
