I want to get one and preferably with HD and recording functions.

Can anyone recommend me one budget upto £300

Do you mean a set top box, or something you can use with your computer?

Is this for multi-satellite viewing, or are you fixed on Astra or Hotbird? If multi-satellite, do you have separate LNBs, or do you have a dish with an actuator/motor? if the latter, is it DiSEq/USALS controlled.

Atre you looking to watch encrypted TV? If so, you will need a CI (Common Interface) slot.

I assume you know that there is no reliable way of receiving Sky broadcasts on any Satellite receiver, except one authorised by Sky.

It's for multi satellite viewing with a motorized dish (havent got that yet).

I wanted to install CCcam protocol and realise I might be entering dodgy territory if I say to much more.

I'm thinking of going for the Dreambox DM800SE HD PVR but just trying to find a reputable place to buy from.

Went for the openbox s11 in the end but it is very basic so have ordered the dreambox 800 SE from the US so hopefully will get that next week. Thanks for your help James
