Clyne Signs For Southampton - undisclosed fee - no tribunal
Don't jump for joy yet. I couldn't see a thread on this. Before he left for the game today, one of my Palace supporting friends saw on Sky that Clyne may yet sign a new contract.
Is this possible or just Sky Bull Turd? If it is possible, maybe he isn't as sought after as we've been led to believe, or it's a ploy to get a bidding war going. I don't doubt what I've been told, but it does seem odd. Any thoughts?

He's not going to base anything on some meaningless end of season games with nothing riding on them! We're more likely to sign him if we remind him about Old Trafford, the Amex, the Den (South London is Ours, by the way!), the fact that he's broken into the England U21s this season and the fact that according to Steve B, Dougie's got a bit of money to spend on transfers aimed at a real push for next season.

FYP articles says he has turned down the new offer which I expected as he has got a clear plan to go, one of the de Silva twins being offered to Portugese club according to BBC gossip this morning.
Palace manager Dougie Freedman has given Manchester United target Nathaniel Cyne his backing should he want to leave in the summer. The 21-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has rejected a new offer from the Eagles, leaving it looking certain he will move on to pastures new. And the Premier League champions have shown an interest in taking the England Under-21 international to Old Trafford. And Palace boss Dougie Freedman has given Clyne his blessing to leave. Speaking after his side's 1-1 draw with Ipswich, Freedman said: "He's getting better. The problem I've found is if you jump into the Premier League to soon and find yourself becoming a squad player it can stopyour progression. I've told him that. "I feel he's got a little more time to grow at this club but if he wishes to leave then he's got my backing. It's not a problem, I would stay in contact with him and try and helping him until his career's finished." United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hinted that he will be in the market for a new full-back by admitting Fabio Da Silva will be going out on loan next season.

Pretty much yes If he wants to go then let him. We don't need anyone here who doesn't want to be. I think he's moving too early myself, but that's up to him. |

Fabio is a left back, so him leaving has no impact. Simpson will stay at newcastle
He won't play ahead of either him, or Rafael

Handful of games to go - would you risk yourself being injured for a potential big money move in the summer?
