I thought just a little while before Hills got injured he was being played as a left midfielder bombing down the wing. He was fast & could ping in a cross.
In fact I thought that was a better position for him & I see someone else remembers this.
Unfortunately he got seriously injured at that time. I don't know if the current Management are aware that he can play that position as well.

As far as Ambrose is concerned to me he hasn't looked fully fit this season & dosen't seem to want to 'chase' down any balls that don't fall at his feet.
He hasn't been as lethal at corners or free kicks this season either. Mind U it doesn't help that on occasions we don't get many corners that he can try his expertise on.

Good luck to Nat Pinney if he is being moved on because the very few times I saw him I thought he might be able to go all the way.

Dougie's comments of late have indicated a five year? plan to get our club on track again & no doubt the upcoming Fan's Forum might shred light on this.

That would be very silly indeed. I would agree with you that letting him go is the right thing to do at this stage (as much so he can find a good club at the right level for him as for the club). But not renewing a season ticket because a player who's only crime is not being quite good enough is strange to say the least, not least as if this season is anything to go by, you wouldn't actually see him playing much at Selhurst park anyway !.

Neither Hills (possibly injured?), Andrew or Cadogan even made the bench yesterday. Southend are in the playoffs so Hills might get a stay of execution but I think Andrew and Cadogan will be gone soon.

Lee has been out injured for a month now, but before that started every game since he joined them on loan.

I'd like to see him given a two year deal and next season loan him out on a season long deal. He has been out of action for two years and needs to develop his match fitness further and only way of achieving this is through game time.

If Andrew is offered an extension, I will be livid! It's likely he's already on a lot more than I am and he can't even do his job, at any level.

Yeah but there are about 6-7 players out of contract already. Are we still paying their wages? (I suppose we could be until the end of the month).

I think Hills is worth offering another year but on relatively low wages but with a year extension based on appearances.

IMO we should be getting all injury-prone players on low basic wage but higher appearance bonuses. Appearance money should account for at least 50% of all professional footballers wages.

I think Hills is worth offering another year but on relatively low wages but with a year extension based on appearances.

IMO we should be getting all injury-prone players on low basic wage but higher appearance bonuses. Appearance money should account for at least 50% of all professional footballers wages.

Wages are paid until either the beginning of July or the end of July(it's until the transfer window opens+1 month), I cannot remember, it makes no difference if they are let go or not, they get paid.
