Jay Simpson (suggestion)
Just seen on the BBC that Jay Simpson has apparently been released on a free by Hull. Given our clear need for cover both up front and on the wing, perhaps worth a look. Was a regular in the Hull squad that went up, so would appear to have something to offer if we don't go up, and his versatility to cover a couple of positions where we are short would perhaps be useful as squad cover even if we did.

Of all the names on the Hull released list, this was the one that surprised me. Link to the story below.

Classic type of signing that people on the BBS would suggestion all transfer-window long..

Got a bit of name value, maybe (in the case of Simpson) has been a bit of a loan success-story from a big club.. but what you notice with these times of "name" players is that their price is over-inflated. Think Hull paid over a million for him? I remember £1.2m quoted when we were chasing him.

So much better off looking for freebies and players who's reputation is on the slide..

Ironically this NOW makes Jay Simpson a decent target if we are still in this league. Sign him up
