Chelsea take "first step" in moving to a new stadium
Bit of a strange one really here...you can't expand Stamford Bridge, but this talk of a new stadium holding 50,000 + plus is odd.
Chelsea are really not a "big" club in the traditional sense, quite a few games go on general sale and in the cases of the CL group stages games, don't sale out at all. Whilst I understand there is a need to have a bigger ground to make sure they don't fall behind the rest of the European "giants", especially in light of the new FF coming into light, I really don't think they have the demand for anything more than a 50,000 stadium. Also be interesting to see where they move too, the talk of moving to Earls Court has been going on for years. |

Just had a quick look on the Chelsea website, as a non-member I could buy tickets for the next two home matches (Everton & Genk).
I'd be surprised if any other top four club still had tickets left on general sale (after the membership ticket window has expired) for there next two matches |

Most of their fans come from Sutton and watch it on Sky Sports in the pub, so can't really see why they need a new ground. If they do move I hope they stay north of the river.

I doubt Spurs or Arsenal are charging cheap prices.

Where the **** do these pathetic, plastic wankers think they're going to move to? Notwithstanding the fact that land is ******* expensive within a 2 mile radius of SW3, there's not really anywhere they could build on. Unless the ***** are eying Battersea Power Station where as a local resident I'll fight their wanky plans all the way.
Bunch of cutns

Two consecutive mediocre seasons will see their attendances plummet.

Just looked at Arsenals website and you can get tickets for their next home match (16th Oct) on general sale for around £50 plus £1.65 online booking fee. It's Sunderland, if thats significant.
When they first moved to the Emirates I looked at getting a couple of tickets and you couldn't get anywhere near them if you weren't a member then.

It wouldn't suprise me if they just cram stacks of luxury flats on their current site to finance a new ground.

I used to know a hell of a lot of Chelsea fans who ended up getting priced out of going. Some even shared season tickets etc. I wonder how many of their 'old school' fans have just got out of the habit of going?
It would serve Chelsea right, being the wankers they are, that they lost so many of their fans by treating them like *****, rather than the wankers that they are.
