charlton, millwall & brighton
Was having this discussion with a older palace mate who has a passion of hate for brighton. Me Personally, dont have the same hate for them as i do for millwall and charlton. Obviously i dont like brighton but just dont have that same hate.

Just interested to know if anyone agrees with me on this one. It must just be an age thing!

This has been done to death. For me it's Brighton, for the uneducated it isn't.

Discussion has been had on here countless times but Brighton for me, then Millwall and don't really care about Charlton.

I'm not sure if I will ever view Charlton as a massive rivalry, but instead just a simple London derby. It will always have to be Brighton for me.

for me (i know the reasons) but just dont see any point with having such a big rivalry with a club over 50 miles away. i will always see millwall as out biggest rivals followed by charlton. Brighton are a rival for only what happend in the 70's and 80's inwhich i werent born so cant comment

Brighton without a doubt. Remember me and Quinn outside a pub off West Street, it all kicked off and Brighton started piling out of the pub I looked around and all the Palace had gone just leaving me and Quinn there against them with beer glasses flying around our heads. Managed to get away ok though. Not sure if that was the same year that their club shop got done, mad mad day that was and as Little Al says if you witnessed some of the stuff that had gone on in the past you would understand how much hate there is

Only uneducated people would have a rivalry with a team we have seldom played in the last few years and are based miles away.

I do not care for any of the other teams but Millwall have always been Palaces main rivals and Brighton for "kids" who have not been going to Palace for a long period of time.

Charlton are not even worthy of the question.

Yeah i did i went to both. but millwall away was the best game i went to last season.

Im not debating the fact that palace hate brighton and vice-versa but for me i hate millwall more. maybe its because i live next to the den and hear it on a regular basis of how much they hate palace. Believe it or not palace are a close close second to west ham in terms of rivalry from millwall supporters

I've seen 6 games, the hatred between both sets of supporters is 100 times the amount that is at Millwall.

And as a Palace fan, I was brought up to hate Brighton by family and those I went to football with. Simple really.

Brighton is for kids? You'll find that the older fans hate Brighton and the younger ones have more of a hatred for Millwall and Charlton.
