Warnock: I nearly quit Leeds
Incredible stuff from Colin. He has nearly quit every job he has ever done!
I nearly quit Leeds - Warnock Friday 13th July 2012 12:00 Leeds boss Neil Warnock has revealed that he nearly walked out on the club this summer. Warnock was frustrated when attempts to bring Joel Ward to the club were scuppered and the former Portsmouth youngster opted to join Crystal Palace instead. But any thoughts of leaving Elland Road were banished when Warnock's son reminded the 63-year-old just how much he wanted to win promotion with Leeds. Warnock told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I was disappointed to lose Ward to Palace earlier on in the summer; in fact at that stage I'm not sure I was going to be here. "There were temptations and I think it might have been easier to take an offer elsewhere than stay here. "My son James lives here and he's the one that over this summer - when it would have been easier to leave - who has pleaded with me to give it a go. "Because he knows how desperate I am to get another promotion." Warnock also identified the Leeds fans as a factor in his decision to continue because of their committed support - even during a 7-3 home defeat to Nottingham Forest in March. He added: "I'll never forget the fans' support here last season. The one thing about the fans since I've been here is that they have been magnificent. "I'll never forget the Forest game at home in the last ten minutes of that game when I was talking to Ronnie Jepson (reverse team coach) and saying: 'Let's put something on this pitch next season for this lot to get excited about.'

Really bored of the one trick pony.
Still can't say he doesn't have a great record in the championship and lower leagues. Proven premiership failure of course, and a hypocritical Judas.

Did well at Palace no denying it. His leaving of course was the mark of the man.
Understandible, but contrary to his view of himself.

Perhaps there was a shortage of clubs he'd always liked, great fans, intimidating stadium, to go to?

Took him 8 years to get shef utd promoted and then they blew it and my granny could've got that qpr team out of the championship, which he then blew again once up with the big boys. His pathetic persona makes him seem more successful than he is.And he's doing it again.I think he's had about 3 wins at leeds and he's still mouthing off.

Think of it as one last challenge before you retire Colin.

To be fair to Colin (don't know why!) he didn't blow it in the Premiership with QPR. He got sacked - they weren't in the relegation places and it still wasn't that long into the season.

Classic Warnock. He's started the process of uniting the club.
It worked at Palace: http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?p=6277686
