Interesting thoughts from Dougie here. Article is on Croydon Advertiser website. The most interesting thing however is this from today:

New Watford manager Gianfranco Zola wants Italian legends Filippo Inzaghi, 38, and Alessandro Del Piero, 37, who are both free agents.

Are these the sort of signings that will make teams like Watford formidable or realistically are these Edgar Davids type signings?

I reckon that the 38 & 37 should give a good indication of that.

Del Pierro managed 28 games in Serie A and Europe last season so he can't be too shabby. However, the Italian game is much slower so you get these old chaps knocking about. Whether they'll be an Edgar Davids or a Kevin Phillips is anyone's guess

Don't think that Zola will have an easy time at Watford IMO.
