BM Olympics 2012 – London special
Since the other BM leaders are busy enough with the normal stuff, I've decided to see how much interest we can get in another Olympics BM. Don't expect the same level of quality as you usually get, however.

The rules are as follows

Bets only allowed on Olympic events. If you are interested, declare your In-ness by the Opening Ceremonies.

Each entrant has to select one single event which everyone has to bet on. So something like Women's Basketball, Men's Pommel Horse Winner, Women's 49kg Taekwondo, etc. This will be part of everybody's 35 bets.

Of your 35 bets you will have 20 Bronze bets which will be the normal 10pts - 10 Silver bets which will be 15pts and 5 Gold bets which will be worth 20pts per bet. Please indicate when placing a bet what value it is by putting a B, S or G next to it.

I think this is complicated enough without making people bet a number of bets on a specific country.

So the first thing to do is for each entrant to PM me with their Specialist chosen event. When I have the list I will publish them on here. As soon as I receive the first PM I will reply to that with my event so I don't get any advantage.
Again, we'll see what the interest is before it gets too involved.

Here's the lineup of contestants so far and which event they picked:

pauldrulez - Mens 200m
srs9jps - Women's Heptahlon
LLCOOLSTEVE - Men's Basketball
StuNick - Women's Javelin
FINBAR - Men's Road Cycling Scumming
cantspell - Men's Tennis

So I've decided to let the cat out of the bag regarding the events that everybody picked, you can see them in the first post. I'll jump in with my first bet:

Bet 1 (Bronze)

The individually chosen events are just part of the 35, you can choose what level to put them at: Gold, Silver, Bronze.

Well, actually I think you do. That way I can easily keep track. Maybe we should just assign the 6 specific events with Bet 30-35 or something.

Also I found it useful to have the dates the competitions finished so people knew when to place their bets by.
