Iphone Covers
Good to see the covers are in the club shop and some are discreet enough for adults :-).

Is the going rate for this sort of thing really £25?? I am not sure i will get away with not getting the Itouch cover i promised the lad. My plain black one I got for £2 will have to last a bit longer though!!! £50 for two covers....

It's ridiculous. They would sell alot of these if they were priced reasonably.

Just checked on a couple of other clubs websites. This has to be a mispriced item. The clubs i could find were selling the rubber iphone cases for about £10 and the hard cases between £15 and £20.

There's one of Alan Pardew?!!! Really?!! 25 quid is taking the piss out the fans, much like the extortionate prices I've read they are charging for a bikini.

I like that new ideas are being implemented and there's stuff people actually want in the club shop, but prices like these must be driving people away.

I'm in the personalised gifts printing business and this includes printing iPhone covers with peoples' photos and artwork but if I was to charge even half of £25 then I wouldn't get much business. All in, it costs me about £2.50 to purchase and print an iPhone cover so 1000% mark up is nice if you can get it! Having said that, you are paying for a Crystal Palace branded product so that carries extra value but not sure to this extent. Some nice designs there though and I do think they're missing a trick as they would sell like hot cakes if reasonably priced.

The company who are supplying these case mate sell custom cases for $40 . So the price is cheaper than that . It does seem that the shop have gone with a dearer supplier but have gone for quality rather than something cheap .

I'm not sure though if £25 is a reasonable price for a back cover though for an iphone

No added value by it being a branded product, there's no copyright on the crest (hence the need for a new one) so anybody is free to reproduce it.

So it wouold appear to be cheaper just to get a badge or photo and get your own personalised one made.

Unfortunately, I don't have a great deal of photographs and images Palace related and wouldn't take any off the net as the copyright laws are pretty strict on that kind of thing.

The other thing to bare in mind what's the shelf life for these ? A new Iphone is released once a year , the last two 4/4s have been the same size so I would imagine the next one will have a different shape . Will the shop be left with loads of 4/4s cases ?

I see where you are coming from, but not everyone will have the latest model, and I'm sure they'll supply the new range once the phone is launched, too.

As an aside - 25 quid might seem steep, but give this some perspective. This is an Official Crystal Palace product, with a small customer base. A mark-up is required if the club want to make some money out of novelty products, and we are a demanding bunch, so we have to pay the price.

It's that or have a club shop full of cheap tat that looks second rate and no-one buys it anyway.

I will get myself a Speroni case.

I was going to put together a Palace custom case for the Galaxy S2... but no matter how hard I search, I can't find the template from the company that emailed me.

I held off as I thought our badge was changing at the time

£25 is far too expensive, i would of paid £10 maybe £15 but not at £25
