Chris Hussey
A Coventry fan on footballforums.net claims three Championship clubs based in London are after their young left-back Chris Hussey.

Basic logic says this must be Palace, Millwall and Charlton, however I'm willing to bet it's Watford instead of us.

We wouldn't be after another left-back, surely?

I think it's bulls**t to tell the truth. We already have Parr and Moxey so I'd be very suprised if it was us. And Millwall have just spent some money on a new left back from Bournemouth so doubt they'd be interested either.

We do have the Scannell cash, although that doesn't go anywhere near to covering the personal loans already made by 2010, but I do agree with your point that the "club" is pretty skint and has to cut it's cloth accordingly.

How are we skint , we've already had a bid ACCEPTED for McCormack WEEKS ago. The Clubs been run correctly for first time in years i honestly believe it's a case of this rather than being "skint".

Our losses are being covered by 2010 and other clubs losses are covered by their chairmen. It is a decision made by our chairmen to try and live within our means, where possible.

However, as has been repeated constantly, Dougie has a budget (and a generous one by all accounts) so it is a choice to sell and will be choice to buy.

Quite right I'd say 90% of clubs below premiership are skint or pretending they aren't. Concerned already bout blackburn and their "business" model.

Being positive doesn't mean being stupid mate. If you remember, 2010 Said exactly the same thing last season and who did we actually buy? This season 2010 stated that Dougie had been given a "generous budget" yet again, and so far we've bought Ward for a similar fee to what we've sold Scannell for, so maybe the "generous budget" is dependent on the income from who we can sell for actual cash. Who knows?

If we can get a decent tribunal fee for Clyne, we could reasonably speculate that Dougie could buy somebody else, but I'm not holding my breath on that happening. We'll just have to wait and see, but I'm not expecting it to affect my life expectancy in any way.

Ask yourself this:

Where did the club obtained it's perceived wealth from?

Income still doesn't cover expenditure, and purchases have continued to exceeded sales since the takeover. Don't get confused mate, It's the clubs owners who all have personal wealth, and not the club itself. which is skint.

I do agree that 2010 have made great strides to run the club within it's means, but the break even point has still to be achieved.

I should try checking some different places. Whenever SP, SB or DF mention a transfer budget, it not only exist, but is described as substantial. They have also confirmed incoming money is in addition. As for the money not having arrived - you could be right, but I suspect if it is simply a matter of cash flow CPFC2010 between them could cover it short term. Just because there is money to spend, doesn't mean it has to be spent, especially not this early in the window.

Yes - and CPFC2010 have said they will be financing the shortfall. They have also said there is a limit to how long they will do this. I suspect (and I'm sure they would neither confirm nor deny) that there is one, perhap two, seasons before they adjust if we haven't gone up.

But more pertinently, I can't understand why FFS insists on naysaying and doommongering on every thread I look at. I can only assume that one of our lovely owners stole his girlfriend once. Or, y'know, he's at a loss to do with his time, since he's bedridden after a terrible amount of stings.
