If memory serves me, didnt we purchase these, or one of them, with money that should have gone towards rebuilding the Whitehorse Lane End?

Hence that end being abandoned for so long.

Not only did we have Flanagan & Allen up front we also had Cannon & Boyle in defence (OK OK not quite Cannon & Ball but very similar) and a Walley as a manager. They were indeed the good old days.

I don't suppose you've got anything of the 0-1 v Stoke ? That was my first Palace match !

Waited to see if Stoke report was put up.

Yes they did and I was there that night. It was a cup tie at the Valley between Maidstone and Charlton. The two Charlton forwards had a punch up in the centre circle and got sent off. The match was drawn and the won the replay 3-2.
