Hope she is ok. Is 12 a suitable age to let a child travel to Whitgift from Addo?

I just asked my wife the same thing. We can't decide if it's too young or not.

Debatable point but the likelyhood of something untoward happening is slim TBH and hopefully it a case of her running away /staying with a friend without permission and not an Abduction ![]() |

Ditto, got a red bus rover from Elmers End bus garage, then London was our's. Mind you, I wouldn't have let my kids at 12 do it .

Very much so. I went up to Roker Park (Sunderland's old ground) when I was 11 with two school friends, wrong I know to deceive my parents but as a 11 year old I had no fear, and watching Wright/Bright etc was to much of a pull. I'd have gone mad had I been my parents, but its only in hindsight you look back. Around the same time (circa 1990/91) my grand parents would often leave there front door open in Carshalton Beeches, you'd never get that now. |

Not to young to go to Whitgift - too young to go out in "a yellow bandeau top over a white bra with visible cross straps"
