Exactly the sort of players we used to buy and under no circumstances should we sign either of them.

Past their peak, injury ridden, (overweight in NE's case) on big money and would be disasterous IMO.

Isn't Bullard a crock? On obscene wages? Even a loan deal would include a loan fee and portion of wages being paid for, and if his 40-50k wages are true (or this may have been whilst he was at Hull), I doubt we'd blow a significant portion of it on a player like this.

Nathan Ellington doesn't seem to have done much over the last couple of years. Been loaned out a lot at this level.

Are these the bids Clapham Grand mentioned? He said one of them he would consider an excellent signing, so I hope not!

Bullard is decent, but Ellington isn't - and have read criticism from Jewell about his attitude. Ellington hasnt scored regularly in this league for 7 or so years now, hope this is bullsh*t

Ellington is an enigma, but is also a South Londener I think, so there might be some legs in that provided it's on a suitable low wage.

I wonder whats happening with Jaime Peters, as I think Ipswich released him. I thought he was outstanding against us in late 2009, a decent option to play right midfield. He's at least worth a trial and would surely be a low wage too.

These are realistic for CPFC.

Potentially good signings in my opinion. Obviously it would have to work financially first, but if something can be agreed as suggested (i.e. Ipswich paying a chunk of Bullard's wages and Ellington taking a pay cut) then I'd be quite excited to see them play for Palace. Probably rubbish though.
