Third Test - Old Trafford
England one up going into this. Hopefully the weather will be good but how likely is that.
So this would round off a perfect week or so if we could win this and England go through to the quarter finals of the World Cup.

Don't know about the weather being good, I had a look at the 5 day forecast on the BBC website & it's actually awful for the duration of the Test.
A draw for this one methinks............... ![]() |

105-1 at lunch, Trescothick's made fifty three, I can only guess what the weather is like in Manchester, but if its anything like it is down here, that's a nice solid start.

Always a good move to schedule the final and potentially decisive match of a series in Britain's rainiest city. Shows a distinct lack of confidence and ambition on the part of the ECB (or whoever) if you ask me.

You are joking aren't you They play a sport that has to stop for rain - in England and during the summer. Surely that shows complete over-confidence and a failure to grasp reality! A trimuph of optimism over reality (my favourite phrase at the moment!) |

reality, something, rain, optimism, weather, whatever, England are 215-2, Trescothick out for 83. No matter, Butcher's made his century and things looking healthy

Pitch inspection now, there's been no play today. Looks like rain might work against England for once
