Sure I read on here that one our two bids had been initially rejected. Could be that this story is a little behind. They don't sound keen to sell but who knows

So are we done with done? Was the matt bid a bit of transfer gloss? Or have we not yet done enough to secure done, with Barnsley wanting to sell done not be done, so if we up our bid for done a deal will be done and Barnsley won't feel hard done by.

Was thinking along the same lines . No team is going to be keen to sell players days before the season starts . Maybe we are just indecisive with regards to transfers .

I think we are inexperienced when it comes to transfers - our chairmen and manager are in their first jobs in this respect. You only have to look at how someone like Warnock operates in the market - this time on a very low budget - to see how he has managed to pick up some pretty decent players on free transfers and low fees, although I think he did splash out a little for Peltier.

Hate to say it but our transfer policy this summer has been bizarre.

Not surprised. Why would Barnsley accept a realistic offer from a relegation rival for one of there better players so close to the 1st game?
