Freedman OUT
No, I'm not advocating it yet, but this thread needs to be started because by December we could all want him out.
I was one of those who advocated appointing Freedman - there weren't many of us! - and it all started so well, but it's been downhill since January. Why? We have been hit by a few injuries, but for me the biggest reason is that Dougie has not learnt from any of his mistakes. Still the emphasis is on defensive signings (which must make up 80% of the total when judging first team appearances), defensive tactics and dour football. No exciting signings, and still the press remarks continually relate to our defence rather than our attack. I am beginning to think he doesn't see the problem, and the catcalls for his sacking will get louder with each game that it remains the same.
Dougie, I don't want you to go. Please get rid of Lennie Lawrence and/or sign some attackers. You can still turn this around, but I think you have until December only...

Selling Scannell could've been a positive had his money been put towards a replacement but it wasn't... With those attacking players we've got rid of, none have been replaced.

That's why this season will be bad for us. We are worrying about where Easter and Murray are, they scored a combined 13 goals last season. We're concerned about where these two are and we really, really shouldn't be.

Next thing we'll be wanting Calvin back...

All those attacking me are missing the point of the thread. The point of it is to gauge public opinion, and in the hope that if Dougie reads it he may finally realise how large the groundswell of opinion against his tactics is, and do something about it. He may also realise how serious the situation is, and how little time he has left if things don't change. Once he loses the fans it's over for him, and I DON'T want it to get to that stage.

Please change Dougie.

Ps. I'm happy to take the neg rep for having the guts to start this thread. I believe this thread can be positive, and actually help Dougie change his negative approach. I STILL have faith in his managerial ability, but that faith is fading, and I want him to restore it

Doubt it Dougie is too stubborn to change anything and it will cost him the job
