Losing interest in PalaceS
I fully expect to get shot down for what I am about to say but feel so frustrated
And Disapointed I going to say it anyway . I find the goings on Palace this summer ridicously unprofessional. Everyone understands the selling/ leaving of Nataniel Clyne and with that I have no issue. The same cannot be said about Sean Scannell or Darren Ambrose, particularly when there was no game an for replacements. Could anyone imagine Ferguson, wenger or any other professionally run club to sell players without replacements lined up ? The signings of Ward, Ramage and Martin are ok. Darcey I think will turn out to be the pick of the bunch. However The signings of Bolaise and Moritz are strange. Is there avoid chance they will be better than what has left ? Would any of us swapped Scannell and Ambrose for these two ? Bolaise gas played 20+ games for a struggling Bristol city and Moritz in struggling never heard of league Hardly inspiring and worthy of getting excited to come to Palace. The information which comes from Dougies not the same as comes from Parish. Surely it's better to say nothing than confuse fans into frustration. One minute we're frugal, the nextwe're increasing the budget by £40,000 a week.incoming transfer fees and extras from Lee and Fodringham are over £5 million. Player purchases over 1 million. Common sense states the club is going backwards. The last time we has a goal scorer was AJ, why hadn't that been priority 1 ? What has happened about the new ground,so excitably announced ? I guess with my goodself merely applying common sense and having had hair men with big ideas and big mouths. I thought finally we had as close to the best yet in CPFC 2010. Now I really am thinking otherwise. Time for the shooters to start shooting and the slaggers to start slagging. |

I have only one question, and shall leave the shooting and slagging to the more accustomed.
Who are the hair men?

I lost interest when we signed Ian Wright from struggling Dulwich Hamlet

I think its a fair post. My only criticism would be as to why it needed a new thread.
I think we should see how these new signings do and whether they will pull Dougie from the hole he's in. If we set up in an attacking formation and play to win, i think many more people, including myself will be happier. Granted, mistakes have been made but Dougie has a chance to make up for them and hopefully he does. |

I dont get why you would lose interest? all that you have detailed in your post is what comes with supporting a team like Palace and surely people understand that?! You mention Wenger this and fergie that, well guess what, we are not Arsenal or Man Utd, we are Crystal ******* Palace and thats we we love our awesome club.

It's an understandable attitude but if you actually believe football hype you only have yourself to blame. All football clubs talk up spending and ambition, it's just PR.
Palace have suffered some crippling financial problems in recent years and CPFC 2010 are playing things more carefully. Our turn for a bit of glory will come again sooner or later. |

You talk about Bolasie and Moritz being unknown, as far as I am aware so were Jedinak and Parr, and they've turned out alright haven't they? I think everything you have said has been said on here many times, don't understand the need for a new thread. I agree not much so far this season has been managed well, not having replacements lined up already etc, it has been poor, but if we kick on today and get a decent result I think it'll create a more positive atmosphere.

Not going to shoot you down - everyone is entitled to their opinion. Sometimes, you have to take a few steps back in order to move forward. Losing Ambrose wasn't such a big deal for me - I think he was a bit of a luxury player in that he was on quite big money (as I understand it) for quite little return. I just felt he'd had his day a couple of seasons ago, so to me seemed good sense to cash in on him now. Scannell didn't really seem to be progressing at Palace, through no fault of his own or Palace's. Had he not been born in South London, I don't think so many people would have been so upset by his move. I think the move will do him good - fresh start and all that. As far as the new players are concerned - give them a chance! Just because you haven't heard of Andre Moritz, couldn't the same have been said about Ian Wright a few years ago? As fans, I think we have to accept (and agree) that Palace aren't going to be throwing millions of pounds at players. Look at the mess Bristol City are in financially - losing money like I buy shoes! The ground has been spoken about - quite a bit. SP has said that it would need a lot of hard work to get CPP. Work not only from the Club but from outside support because the Residents Association is quite powerful. He has mentioned more than once about redeveloping Selhurst Park, and I understand the plans for this are underway and he will let us all know more about it soon. As the old saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day and this has been a massive rebuilding at Palace. The walls are up but the roof needs working on before it will keep the rain out. ![]()

Do you really need all the negatives listed in comparison to the few positives? However, to sum up your question...the football has been dull and boring. If it was not for the atmosphere, which block B mostly creates then many people would stop going sooner. There are numerous reasons, most of which you will find on other threads. |

The transfer dealings are unimpressive but i think the time has come to try and get behind the team. We've all had our chance to sound off, bitch and moan. We are looking likely to struggle so i expect the team might need all the support it can get.

LOL, after Tuesday night I was miserable, pig sick, fearing the worst. Since the Palace have signed three players, two of which I've never particularly thought were any good and the other an absolute mystery. You know what, I cannot wait for us to give Middlesbrough a right old tonking this afternoon, fulling expecting superheroic performances form the new boys! Bring it on!

Let's be honest profile wise they looked a more likely bet. The jury is still out on Jedinak as well for me. |

How can anyone judge the new signings when we haven't even seen them play yet?
Jedinak and Parr were hardly known last year. EDIT: Beaten to it. ![]() |

I don't rate his passing at all, but he is a machine and I'm sure you already know he can break up the play brilliantly. I think he's our best battling midfielder at the club. |
