PES13
Stop the press. The PES13 demo is actually pretty damn good! Could it be that Konami have finally after 5/6 years got their arses into gear and created a game that challenges FIFA again?

If you haven't done so already, the demo is on the marketplace, download it, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I played the demo, it really is still miles behind FIFA now. I thought it was pretty awful.

I don't think it'll ever compete properly with Fifa in terms of design, game modes, graphics etc but for actual gameplay it felt a million times better than previous next gen PES games, very much had a PES4 feeling to it.

I still find FIFA very slow and robotic compared to the loose and fast game pace of the earlier PES games.

Similar to me, used to be a big PES fanboy but haven't got one for the past few years but I still can play Fifa. Far to slow and repetitive.

Fifa is far superior as PES still suffers some of the problems Fifa does too so It cant be considered better apart from in a few small fields like presentation, Champions league licence and Become a Legend > Be a Pro Season.

Pure gameplay of Fifa prevails. PES still feels stupidly robotic with linear movement and bloody awful shooting systems (vastly improved this year though)

But like last year I will buycoughcough PES for PC just for the BAL mode.

I will also....Buy....Pes on PC for BAL, because BAL just wipes the floor with FIFA's equivalent.

I have to admit based on the first demo (The second isn't out on PC yet) It felt much better than PES 2012, I'm expecting the second demo to feel even better.

The whole PES thing is so strange. Around 2003-2008 it beat FIFA consistently every single year for playability, and design, it was a pain to get the option files off the internet, but all the work was done for you.

God knows what happened to PES. I prefer FIFA now, but it's still not as good as people make it out to be. PES 2005ish > FIFA now. I mean that in terms of how good they are in their respective times rather than a simple head to head.
