Expect us to offer a contract to Gabbidon soon then.

"...The injection he had has either given him an infection or been in the wrong area and it has swollen up again, making him very stiff and sore."
As we all know, it can be very difficult to play with a stiff groin area....

Poor Paddy. This must be doing his head in especially this week. Realistically he won't be in contention till after the October international break. He may just find it quite hard to win his place back too if Delaney and Ramage continue to play well and Danny Gabbidon joins. That's a good headache for Dougie. Better than trying to work out how we conceded 15 goals in August

Still fail to see how he is going to change our season all of a sudden, many calling for his head last year. Yeah he is a good leader, but in all he as best he is just good championship player.

As much as i think Paddy is great, we beat Weds without him and we will go on winning too, however I wish him a speedy return as he is the man and captain after all, the cover we have for him is good, just got to concentrate and keep it tight

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Paddy's. But since he has been out injured he is suddenly Beckenbauer.

agree with all the above re him being the next Beckenbauer and how this will hasten the signing of Gabbidon. Also sounds a right cock up by the medical team.

Don't be silly. Paddy is our captain. He will walk straight back into the side, because only he can defend with his head so far. Him and Delaney will be the first choice partnership. Ramage and Gabbidon/Martin second choice pairing. The Sheff Wed goal would not have been scored had Paddy been there. We're still leaking goals for fun, mainly from set pieces, something we hadn't conceded from for a whole season and a half before this one!!

Top captain in my view. We need him back asap. We won't get many better CBs than him - plus he's reliable. Hopefuly he'll be back soon.

Not too worried as we have cover to see out the month he may be out, but think we miss his leadership on the pitch mind
get well soon paddy |

Maybe that's because other than the Sheff Wed game we've been diabolical at the back, would you care to disagree? He's clumsy at times, especially on TV for whatever reason but he's vital to our back 4 and incredibly under appreciated.

Think this was known to be the case around the end of the Window..hence the signing of Delaney. Im sure the Club knew Paddy's injury was worse than had been firts thought..
