Dougie Freedman "beating down" Alex Ferguson's door to land winger Robbie Brady
By Mark McCadden
PALACE KEEN ON IRELAND ACE BRADY CRYSTAL PALACE boss Dougie Freedman is "beating down" Alex Ferguson's door to land Ireland winger Robbie Brady. The Selhurst Park chief is desperate to land the highly-rated star on loan this season. Palace are struggling in the Championship, and are currently just two points above the relegation zone. They lost their first three games, but turned things around a little and drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest last night. And Freedman wants to build on those successes by bringing in creativity in the shape of Brady, who made a goalscoring senior Ireland debut last week against Oman. "Dougie Freedman is beating down the door trying to get Brady," said a source close to the Eagles last night. Brady featured for the Red Devils first-team during their pre-season tour of South Africa, but has yet to make a competitive appearance. That could yet come in next week's Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle United. And the Dubliner, who spent last season on loan at Hull and has been linked recently with Norwich, may wait until after the Toon game before making a call on his short-term future.

Another winger would be good, we can't expect Zaha and Bolasie to play every game.
Where is that article from? An 'unusual' writing style. |

Saw a bit of the Ireland Oman action and he was the star of the show. I would have him in a heartbeat. Seriously good player.

I was at the Ireland v Oman game and despite his goal, which was well taken, and a couple of decent crosses, he was guilty of giving the ball away time after time and taking the wrong option. Not once did he track back and he was a bit chubby. Kind of like a fat Robbie Keane Reading the Irish press the next day you would think he was Lionel Messi. Though their pro Man Utd bias is always bubbling under the surface.
