Was it a penalty?

I am really amazed to be asking this, because where I sat the second penalty looked nailed on and seemed yards inside the area. However, on the (very brief) highlights this evening, it did look as if Heidar Helguson challenge on Jonathan Parr was made just outside the area.

The commentator didn't mention it, and nor did Malky Mackay in his post-match interview.

Did anyone else at the game think it was a generous award?

Oddly enough I was the other way round, thought it was outside when I saw it in real time but after seeing it on TV thought that maybe the ref got it right.

What everyone else has said really haha. We deserved it though after the amount of times they fouled us outside their area (including the first half) when we had a good chance at scoring.

Outside I say, but two or three of the previous claims probably were. The shove in the back right in front of the ref was nailed on.

Stupid challenge.

One that a player in red and blue would normally make!

First thought was it was about a yard outside.

I was right in line with it, in the Arthur, and the TV actually confirmed what I thought.... it wasn't actually a penalty, but then who ruddy cares??!! It is about time our luck changed, as usually (and for the past few seasons) it has been us on the end of such awful refereeing decisions.

The Cardiff fans seem to have given up on Helguson, he looks a bit past it at Champs level. With all that money to spend, why has Mackay bought so many veterans ?

We must be the only club, where, after being awarded a decision (pen etc) the boards are full of hand-wringers, agonising over whether "it really was".
Get a life James !
