Palace fans (in the eyes of other fans)
Sorry if there is already a thread on this but recently I have been reading other fans forums and there are some great comments about the palace fans. Whether good or bad, I always like seeing what other fans think of our lot whilst on the road or at home! This one was on the Wolves forum earlier:

"That said I thought the Palace fans were excellent last night. I wish we had some of their songs"

Personally thought that the first half atmosphere from Palace fans was shockingly bad. I remember at 1 point we was on the attack and there was a small group next to the home fans who were more focused on singing West Brom songs and how Wolves earn 4 quid an hour. All very cringey Soccer AM style "banter" Thought we had left them days behind us with the quality atmopsheres we have created over the last few years - sure it's a one off.

Second half improved much more with more Palace songs and we installed some pride back into our support, which seemed to spur on the team, and the players seem to appreciate that more.

Always thought that Palace have decent vocal support, but pretty poor in number.

Probably overshadowed by Millwall in terms of vocal support actually.

Our support is better then yours. Don't know anyone who '1st team is Reading', having lived there until recently. The royals are a bit like Brighton a bit plastic.

i presume you are referring to our home support rather than away? The last 2 times I have been to Reading (2009-10 and 2010-11) I thought our support was fairly impressive.

Actually for what it is worth I think our fans are much more impressive when we sing songs about Palace rather than insult the other fans for being inbred, northern or whatever. It wins more friends too.
