Dedication pays off for Zaha as reputation continues to grow
CRYSTAL Palace manager Dougie Freedman has put Wilfried Zaha’s superb start to the season down to the hard work and dedication he has shown on the training ground.

The improvement in his shooting is the most obvious thing.

I'm going to stick my neck out and be controversial here:
Wilf is better than John Salako.

Salad was a different type of winger; more workrate than madskillz.
Salad's crossing was spot on; and that was his job for a while get the crosses in for W&B. As his role developed he scored more goals. If Wilf maintains his rate of progress he will be a lot better than Salad - and Salad played for England on merit. What is certain is that Salad was no where near this good at 19. Was that around the age he went on loan to Swansea? What age was Salad before he played week in week out? Can't quite recall. Have to say I'm with you PK.

Funny that both of them played as centre forwards in youth team but became wingers

I'm sorry but Wilf is a different class to Salad. This is no disrespect to JS, who I can remember playing as far back in his time with Eversley Rangers.
Wilf simply has far more natural ability IMO.

i'll always remember Salako charging down the wing, us losing the ball and charging back, us winning the ball and charging down the wing again. 3 full lengths of the pitch sprinting with no breather at all. unbelievable work rate.

According to FansFC Martin Jol has already decided to bid for him in the New Year. Apparently the Fulham coach has made Zaha a top target for when the window reopens, and could even offer as much as £10million for his signature.
