DAVID Ford Escort says Millwall will be out for a duck when they come up against local rivals Crystal Palace after the international break.
Jermaine Easter's first-half goal handed the Eagles a well-deserved win at The Den when the two sides last met in December but Mondeo says the Lions are on the verge of extinction due to their natural environment of scrapyards and sink estates being cleaned up and populated by normal people who don't wish to live with knuckle dragging illiterate racists. Palace are in a rich vein of form going into the match, having won six of their last seven, and with in-form winger Wilfried Zaha on target four times in his last two outings. But Fiesta has warned that Zaha is not the only dangerman within Dougie Freedman's ranks. "We'll be looking to keep him quiet but all their other players are better than ours as well" he said. "Palace is a massive game and we owe them one from last year. There will be a big crowd, a big atmosphere and gives us great incentive to kick off as we always do after losing. "You always look to win your local derby - there are bragging rights on offer and the fans will be right behind us, in the queue for lobotomies. "In the last few games we've kept it down to zeros and ones in terms of goals scored and if you do that you stand a chance of getting the occasional draw in the Championship.

As long as we avoid a twat of a ref, I am really confident about this one.

Never confident about local derbies. So many of our team are new signings I wonder if they will be as up for it as Millwall... Hopefully Dougie will get them in the mood...

Jedi and KG won't shurk any roughness. Zaha's had that experience a trillion times. Murray is northern. Blake, Ward, Moxey and others have all featured in derbies before. Dougie seems to get us performing in these sort of matches, it should be a contest which I will try to enjoy! Marquias is the worst footballer I have seen in this divison for sometime but Keogh and Henderson are a pretty good pairing - thats a bit worrying considering how many goals we are leaking.

No one. Get. Cocky.
As soon as we start saying 'oh, we'll beat them. Feeling confident', then we'll lose. DON'T. GET. COCKY!

One thing leads to another and I went to wiki to look at their current squad. Later on their wiki page it claims that Ian Wright is a famous Millwall fan?!

Bold words from Millwall's second choice goalkeeper.
Personally, I never assume we're going to win derbies, always comes back to bite us. That being said, I haven't hesitated in informing my Millwall-supporting friend that we're going to smash the granny out of them.

He is a big lump of a goalkeeper from County Galway. My Gaelic Football team trains at the Lion’s Centre at the New Den during the winter months and we’ve had a few chats since he spotted me wearing a Galway jersey a couple of years back. He has massive hands, comes across as a nice bloke, but in goalkeeping terms, despite being a good shot stopper, he is very slow at reacting to a second ball. Low fizzed strikes will cause him all sorts of problems as he is able to get down to the initial shot, but resembles a knee capped pig in treacle trying to stand up for the next one. How he travelled to the Euros with the Ireland squad I do not know

We haven't had a really decent game against this lot in a long while. It seems to get dragged down to a dire level. I for one am never confident against millwall. They are pretty much a bogey side for us.
I am confident we are the better side. I am not confident we will win. I will of course bloody love it if we do. |
