Palace vs Millwall ratings + review.
I'll write in more detail later, but I thought Mocey (not the ref) cost us the game. Parr was very good. Williams impressive and Bolasie MOM with Jedinak close behind. More positives than negatives. One (two with yellow) stupid mistake, and 12 bravehearts. I'm more optimistic than ever. Ramage was v. good too.

Yes I guess Deano did cost us the game but let's not be too hard on him. He realised he'd dropped a clanger as soon as he'd done it. But it has to be said we'd have won comfortably with 11 men.

Thought Parr was dreadful. A shadow of his last season self.
Blake and to a lesser extent Ward looked a bit at sea against their winger second half. Moxey's mistake was just that. It was an instinctive reaction and he knew immediately he was going to be sent off and it most certainly wasn't something he would do if he had had time to think about it. KG and Jedinak very good. Ramage I'm not convinced about. Bolasie my man of the match, oozed confidence and ability and stepped up to the plate while Wilf didn't perform as normal. Was like playing with 9 men after Wilf got booked, he looked lost and out of the game. Overall a game we should've won and would've done had it not been for the penalty incident, but really we weren't that good and second half had no real tactic other than get it away. |

Delaney/KG/Jedi/Bolasie/Ramage all did well.
Enjoyed Delaney's goal celebration, Ramage was going crazy! Wilf was superb in the first half. We were doing our thing for the first 40 minutes and pushing on, Millwall couldn't keep up and tried to break up the game with fouls. The occasion made it a really stop starty game and to be honest not that enjoyable, then the sending off (however you see it) changed the game and ruined it as an even contest. Not worth loitering on this one for me, we've clearly got quality and will go on to pick up more wins - unbeaten, currently 3rd in the table.

Just a reaction from Moxey - he only just realised what he had done AFTER the incident.
Such a shame as we would have been sitting top of the table.. Game was ruined as a spectacle after the sending off ![]()

Blame Speroni for missing the ball as much as Moxey for getting sent off
Ramage best performer from the defenders, until Ward came on Blake is an abysmal right back Wilf brilliant until his booking Dowd is a clueless wanker

Did ramage get the ball in the first half? From my view I thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch.
So gutted, if there was ever a time to smash Millwall then that was it. |

I think the boy just needs games - he is TWICE the player Moxey is, and I rate Moxey too!

Parr was far better than Moxey, who was torn apart by Chris Taylor. Parr's passing wasn't great, but his defending was decent enough. Moxey definitely had time to think about it, he flicked his arm up at the ball, not just moving it to the ball but making a deliberate attempt to push it over the bar. Ward was excellent when he came on I thought. Agree about Ramage & Bolasie. Not sure why Wilf was booked, but the fourth official was the one to get the ref's attention. Murray was tripped in the area second half, quite clearly & the ref gave nothing, but then he was clueless, inept & totally not in control of the game. Quote:
Didn't look like he got the ball to me.

Moxey; what was he doing? Zaha and Murray looked lazy in the 2nd half, although we were denied a clear penalty.

Still can't quite believe we received more cards than them and that we were the ones who had to play most of the game with 10 men.

What?! Parr's defending was superb! He still can't kick the ball, but defensively he was excellent. Ward should be our starting right back. Was better there than Blake when he came on. Blake's a good defender, but we have a better option at right back

I agree with this. Taylor was easily their best player and I thought Ward did really well against him. |

Happy to debate Zaha but to say Murray looked lazy in the second half? I would say the complete opposite.

Chant for Alan Dunne was quality. What a goal from Jedinak.
Blake, Ward, Delaney, Jedinak, KG and Bolasie all very good. Gutted no Wilf on tuesday but Johnny Williams should be a more than good enough replacement. Love the HF banner too!

I thought Ramage played well today aside from his mistake in the first half.
Chris Taylor caused all of our full backs problems today, no one really got to grips with him. Bolasie was superb at times today. We would have won comfortably if we had kept 11 men on the pitch. It seems 2-0 leads mean nothing at Selhurst these days. |

agree, Murray put in as much effort as he could today AND due to the other events of the match it is being massively overlooked how badly Murray was manhandled with every ball forward to him - plain cheating form the Millwall center halves
