How must Lennie & Curtis be feeling?
Freedman wants them to go to Bolton, they've just witnessed the best performance by an away side at Leicester this season and, according to Matt Jackson on Radio 5, the best away performance he has seen for many years. I can imagine them crying all the way to the Reebok if they end up going. It is one hell of a bizarre situation!

I feel really sorry for them. They have come in and done a good job. An excellent result today and a point away to Barnsley, a place where we have got nothing in the last 2 seasons, shows they have acted very professionally. Unlike Freedman I wish them well.

Especially when you consider
1. most people put our negative attitude down to Lennie 2. Lennie may have a tilt at the prem in his own right which is probably totally unexpected More a dilemma for the board if he wanted it full time.

It would be revenge served cold if CPFC2010 decided to give them a go rather than shell out on a new manager. I mean, what bigger stage could they possibly need to prove themselves on this season after today?

Ok I have been sceptical about them especially after we went 1-0 at Barnsley and then it was what it seemed like defend all game...
After today I think they deserve the chance at the job full time!

They have a real dilemma..... should they stay and hope to land the job themselves.......should they stay and hope that the new manager wants them......or should they follow Greedman to be unemployed in the new year???

Lennie & Curtis
Why do we need to look for a new management team we have one in Lennie & Curtis 2010 you need to look no further they are doing a fine job four points from six both games away from home and one of those against the team top of the league. You really need to try and keep them both they make a great team.

Maybe people ought to think about their ridiculous scapegoating opinions with regard to Lawrence. Most of which is based on guess work.

My biggest concern is a new manager coming in and changing a winning formula and trying out new formations and players. Just like Francis did. To be fair that's what you'd expect from any manager. Sign up Lawrence and Fleming. Why be assistants at a struggling team when they could be managing promotion contenders. That would be a real incentive. We need as seamless a transition as possible at this very delicate stage to keep momentum going, and this is the way to do it. |

Give them the option.
If they want to follow greedman then let them. We should a que of decent managers with tongues wagging looking at the job. If they do stay then they have already started to show they can do a decent job and less upheaval.

LL is apparently a bit of a mentor to Dougie, so you'd expect him to join unless Freedman feels he's learnt enough and wants to do his own thing. Fleming may partly have been chosen as Poppo's replacement because of his understanding of the club, so there's no guarantee he'd be asked to join Bolton, especially as they would have a bigger budget for their first-team coach and may want someone more experienced.
I think the club will rightly want to bring in a new manager and let him choose his own backroom staff. LL and CF have done a great job, but credit must also go to the players for standing up and being counted, and in the long term I think it's right to go for a hungry youngish manager with new ideas.

Credit to Lennie, I was really doubting him after the Barnsley match, but he showed he has it in him to keep the squad playing some good football.
I'm still slightly reserved about keeping him on full time (although from what is evident, he's meant to be off to Bolton anyway), but if it brings stability, it can only be a good thing.

Let's not carried away. Great result at Leicester but, similarily, they were getting slagged off on Tuesday for blowing 2 points at Barnsley. Let's take emotion out of it and have a proper, sober assessment of where we are and where we are going and who might be the best man for the job. Making appointments when emotion is running high is not in the best interests of the football club, and I daresay Parish etc know so. No knee-jerks please! |

But are we certain that Lawrence wants to move home to be someone else's mentor at a struggling club when, if offered the job, he could be managing a team up the top of the table. Last edited by Mickey Gilley : 27-10-2012 at 04:50 PM. |

Huge pressure on 2010, but what nice pressure to have!
The appointment of a new manager is crucial in keeping our promotion push on the tracks. Sir Steve with LL & CF would do me just fine. ![]() |

Would be such sweet revenge if Lennie and Curtis stayed in their roles at CPFC as £reedman has already more or less outed the current backroom staff. Just loving this potential mess he is in. His wife and kids aren't at risk though, which is nice...
