Yes, first Puncheon became too shot-shy and now Townsend has too.

Have to say i like the way Roy handles the press,he obviously knows some of them from the past and he often bounces back the question - ie Football is not played on paper etc
Roy never said in west ham press conference that sakho was out so wouldn't be 100% that everyone is fit not going to tell opposition more then he has to saying wickham and lee are out is telling them nothing they don't know

Yup, Hodgson is not fool enough to spell out our team and plans to Brighton in advance.

Part of me wishes he had said Cabs, Wilf and RLC were all struggling and unlikely to make it as a total BS... then see the looks on their faces when they both trot out at the start

We've not had the best out of Townsend since he arrived. Erratic form and his shooting is poor.

It's always been poor. He just does it a lot so occasionally one goes in.

He's been one of our best players this season.

I know he is a favourite with a lot of our support, but this guy grates my gears more than any player we've had for years. He has undoubted talent and great technique, that is not in question, probably up there with the best we've ever had; his form has been pretty good also of late but his decision making is so poor.

Recall a few people naming him as the most intelligent player we've had in a recent thread, and I have to say it made me laugh out loud. Frustrates the hell out of me as he seems to make the wrong decisions more often than not. His set play deliveries are rarely dangerous; his tracking of opponents when we're defending is poor. - just switches off and loses players; rash, hairbrained challenges don't help either.

I know it sounds harsh signalling him out because I do think at times he brings a lot to the party; but for a player with his international experience, quality, transfer fee and wage, I've just always felt he should be doing so much better.

I wonder why he is wearing Adidas boots now, rather than the New Balance ones he personally endorsed?
