SEA FISHING THREAD
Right, I reckon it is about time we had a decent fishing thread on here as it seems there are a few keen fisherman amongst us.
Good tips are always useful

I was reading a dutch magazine yesterday and noticed they are recommending going out on the MS Blue Fox from Padstow (Cornwall) for some decent shark fishing. Anyone ever been shark fishing of the English coast?

Tend to spend a lot of time fishing for Cod nowadays in the North Sea - Biggus seems to have the best location in Europe though

p.s. My brothers-in-law went shark fishing off the Devon/Cornwall coast a couple of years back - the sharks were having a day off, apparently.

Never been Shark fishing but have been told that the coast of the Southern tip of Ireland is also a good spot.

Is this because the water is warmer than the North Sea due to the Gulf stream?

My grandad used to go shark fishing in the Irish Sea. He also often used to go sea fishing from a boat out of Hastings. He was once in the Guiness Book of records for catching world record Red Gurney someone off the English coast. And that's absolutely all I know about sea fishing

Yeah i'd guess the relaxation would be very enjoyable. as i said, this thread will kill me - so i'd better not try it.
