I felt bad for Brighton when they lost their ground but am very indifferent to Millwall's situation. I guess that's due to the impression the club and their fans have left on me over the years and I doubt I'm alone in this sentiment, many people who support clubs that have no rivalry with Millwall will have similar feelings due to their dealings with the club and their fans in the past.

You reap what you sow. "No one likes us"....yeah, be careful what you wish for.

It may not be the nicest place to live but house prices would suggest this place is not a slum

Is it just me or of the two options on the table here it looks like they've made the right choice?
While there are more homes the loss of the community centre will be felt. Why they have to include a multi faith centre is beyond me, seems the PC crowd want to pander to religion when its the cause of so many problems.

Hotel that will not benefit the community and while the approved plan claims to create jobs the current set up includes real jobs that will be lost.

If this is allowed to happen it will create future problems for Millwall and the work they do as a community club.

While for me Millwa!l have always been our real rivals, but I have many Millwall supporting friends and they are very worried about how this development will impact the club.

I find it frustrating that north of the river councils and the GLA seem to do all they can to help North London clubs, but South of the river local and central government support seems very thin on the ground.

Many housing developments fail to materialise because of the requirements under Section 106 for infrastructure or a CIL and then the requirement on top of that from the local authority for social housing.

If the developers are getting the land cheap, what is the trade of in terms of infrastructure and social housing?

Not claiming the decision is right, or fair, but how many options do the council have for land to build the required housing?

Do you seriously believe that the "housing" will be anything other than expensive apartments? There are some tiny places going up all around Camberwell Green - £1 million will get you 2 small bedrooms. This is all about Renewal filling their boots.
