Didn't stop you when Bloye, Noades or Jordan were at the helm, or when Tony 'Court Case' Pulis was in charge.

Clearly we live in times where people will put potential success before morals. Allardyce has nothing to prove. He could possibly keep palace up yes, but, he has plenty of money in the bank and is proven to be a wheeler dealer who puts himself first. On that basis alone I couldn't welcome his appointment. He has dodgy morals. End of.

All a bit bizarre fans wanting Pardew out for months when there was a likelihood that BFS would be a leading candidate to take over.

Yes to that. But his appointment would be a retrograde step in so many other ways : it would put us amongst those clubs that reach out for past-its when in trouble rather than thinking with vision and imagination.

I'd always thought of Palace as different : a BFS appointment would say we are just the same.

Bloye I barely remember. I liked Ron. He was a businessman who put his neck on the block at a time when football was dying on its arse. He then reaped the rewards of taking that risk. Pulis didn't come with anything near the public disgrace of the reputation Allardyce has gained for himself. The man is dodgy. He is in it for himself. He is tainted goods - and on a huge scale.

Yes, this too, which is why I suggested elsewhere snaffling Hughton. A hungry manager with something to prove, not an angry one who has no shame and brought his very embarrassing fall from grace upon himself.

Our last three managers have been Pulis, Warnock and Pardew. What made you think that?

Very similar to when Tony Pulis was appointed. He then won us all over before stitching us up. If it is to be Big Sam, hopefully he will do the first bit and not the second.

Fair point in a way. But PArdew could have been so different. And Warnock we know was only as a result of Pulis.

Agreed I reckon the stupid Mcarthur subbon Wednesday might have torn it with a highly impressive point getting spunked away. But Bfs is a cuxt of the highest order really don't want him I can imagine the Americans will be pushing hard for him though.

I'd take mancini if I thought there was any chance of it!! I just don't want Bfs.

How so. Pardew did what Pardew always has as a manager.

I agree with this, assuming BFS is appointed, this is like backing a horse that you know will finish the race and not one you believe will win it.

Parish is gambling on a man who to date keeps teams up, is this really the ambition now? If so I fear this will unsettle a number of key players.

Not even appointed and he has already united the fans.
