What exactly you do expect from a politician?

You have to remember she was an unusually long serving Home Sec, which is at best a precarious position. That if nothing else shows her political ability.

She's carrying out the chosen will of the people in Brexit, her timetable hasn't been derailed by the various attempts of all sorts to do so. She hasn't been caught out by anything else. She has the backbenchers largely under control. She deals with every attempt to criticise or discredit her effectively.
Despite being on the remain side during the campaign she came out of it unscathed whereas others had to fall on their sword.

When it came to being elected as PM she simply saw off all the competition before they even got to the final vote.

She has a vast lead in the polls, there is nothing to suggest she's incompetent at all. As for elitist I can't see the basis of that, there's nothing to suggest it, standard comp education although she did have short time at a faith school, certainly nothing like her predecessors the Etonians.

You could blame her popularity on Corbyn but in life you can only deal with the situation as it is presented to you.

Just to press the point. Something of a contradiction.

I don't care what school she went to, she is the leader of a party who stand for the elite and the rich. Her politics are elitist.

I think she's a boring bureaucrat and her obvious flaws will come out over the next 2-3 years.

Not at all. I don't think she united her MPs, I think the situation did. The cracks will show as Brexit hits the wall.

Do you think she is really carrying out the will of the people, though? It looks to me as though she's desperately back-pedalling, and has been ever since she sent the "Dear John".

The one thing about the Tories is they are far more skilled at knowing when is the right time to stick the knife into their leader, and in the meantime will show support.

Labour could learn a thing or two from them.

Very pleasant - and possibly slightly misogynistic.

Does the BBS REALLY need another thread where the frustrated lefties can vent their spleen and prove that - for all their claims that the Tories are the "nasty" party - those left of centre have a far nastier attitude ?

Anyone would think that she has taken a negotiating position and is now seeking a compromise "softish" Brexit that common sense dictates should be the outcome.

I would describe in a general fashion that I see those in the Labour party having a more vindictive streak and the Tories a more ruthless streak.

Both deserve, at times, to have the 'nasty' tag.

I am on the Left but I have to say those like Momentum and Unite who are attempting a coup on the Labour party and imposing their will are ruining the main opposition party .
No one agrees with their loony views or agenda and they should feck off and form their own party .
Millions of old Labour voters are stuck without a political voting choice or resort to voting Tory , UKIP , sad times .
Labour need to accept the Brexit vote and the lower paid revolt against cheap migrant labour .

Why would anyone wanna accept Brexit that has pushed society to the right, increased nationalism and racism and an anti worker agenda. Companies will now exploit migrant labour more. You've supported the single biggest rightward shift in decades and you say you are left.

As for imposing their will, the members voted, and gave the biggest majority in history. But that's for the other thread.
