Which main party has produced the best Manifesto ?

Well ?

Lots of arguments over this but please vote honestly rather than from loyalty to your own favourite party.

If Labour'd just scrap their Brexit plans, drop the triple lock promise and take on the Tory promise to means test Winter Fuel payments I'd think they'd perfected it.

As it is, they are still the best.

The Tory manifesto is the longest threatening letter in history.

Do any of the parties include a manifesto commitment for inprisonment for starting pointless threads when there are already plenty of sodding threads on a topic?

If so, that one.

You say that but i always think once a thread gets to about 4 pages there is a significant barrier to entry for new participants that cannot be bothered to read through the whole lot but otherwise enjoy a chit chat about politics. New threads offer a clean slate.

Hey, what a good post. Never thought about it like that, but you're exactly right.

People need to remember their vote is powerful and that a government is meant to be there to serve the people, the days of manifestos being written to actually win votes and win the hearts of the people in this country seem absolutely dead. When on earth did we sell ourselves so low to start voting for such a negative, dull, painful manifesto. Labour might have a fantasy manifesto but it offers a shift in culture that people want to use their vote for something positive rather than wallowing in doom and gloom for the next 5 years. I couldn't care if Labour can't cost their manifesto .. Give us some hope instead of a race to the bottom all the time, cuts, cuts, cuts, austerity... We have had enough, we want something positive to work towards.

I am not sure that means anything.. I agree the Tory version of the next 5 years is not as "positive" and it is very far from ideal. However with the absence of any other centre ground parties offering a more upbeat message what choice do we have. i don't see how voting a bloody risky pipe dream is genuinely an alternative. Just because i have voted labour all my life. We need somethng closer new labout now more than ever.. just without the war of course.

The most disappointing and miserable seasons as a football fan are the ones where you raise expectation and woefully come short.
