Kenny Tete

According to Voetbal International, Olympique Lyon and Crystal Palace are among the clubs hoping to sign Ajax right-back Kenny Tete. Tete seemed to be on his way to Galatasaray last week after the Turkish side agreed a fee with Ajax, believed to be around €3 million. However, Tete isn’t interested in the move and has turned down the offer from Turkey. Now according to Voetbal International, Tete has a wide range of clubs to choose from with interest out of England, Spain and Italy. The report states that Lyon and Crystal Palace are among the sides hoping to snap up the 21-year-old, although no concrete bid has yet been made. The interest from Crystal Palace seems obvious since Frank de Boer took over the club on Monday. The former Ajax boss was the one who handed Tete his first team debut in Amsterdam and is clearly still following the Netherlands international. |

3 million for a 21 year old Dutch international right back from the best youth producers in club football? Sounds a bit too good to be true.

I'm not one of those smug lot on here who claim to know the ability of every player from the Luxembourg fourth division. But I do watch Ajax a lot, he's very highly regarded there but lost his way under Peter Bosz as he preferred Veltman at right back. Some Ajax fans say he's the most talented right back at the club in years, defensively also he is very, very good.
It was only a year ago Man United were on the trail of him.

Am I right in thinking he barely played last season? Or is transfermarkt wrong?

Get him in now. Quality player. Can't believe he'd only be £3million.

Ah my bad. Still raises some risks (albeit not for €3m) but RdeB will know his strengths better than most. |

He could form the holy trinity of full backs called Kenny, along with Sampson, and the chap we had on loan around 1995 whose name escapes me right now...
