Well, he's had a very poor injury record with us - and that's almost three seasons.

He's basically a player with a lot of potential who's done next to nothing in his career. But he's clearly got talent so we all hope he will get through this latest injury and come back stronger.

And let's remember that Anderton at least, fought to get back and played pretty well before his inevitable next injury.

It's not a 'myth'.
Sunderland fans were clearly frustrated by his constant knocks and stop-start appearances and quite happy to get shot.

Not too sure why you are raising Anderton and Dyer or implying Wickham isnít trying to get back?

That would be odd bearing in mind he wasn’t constantly injured there.

He played 40 games in his last season at the age of 21.

Some players bodies are not capable of high intensity training and competitive games, Wickham I fear is one of them. Shame really like him. How we could of done with him this season.

Either you or they are lying

He was rarely injured there. Sunderland fans were frustrated he never fulfilled his potential there and that he was played on the wing most of the time when heís clearly a powerful forward in the making

With wickham the only regular injury period he had was under pardew when all the players were criminally unfit and we had a constant supply of injuries associated with that.

Sadly, he has now had what is a huge injury. That can happen to anyone.

Prior to palace (and pardew) wickham did NOT have a bad injury record. It was actually very good.

This is a bbs rumour thatís evolved into common knowledge despite being based on assumptions and people spouting bullshit as fact

Of course he didn't have a major injury there, but he was constantly missing games with "knocks" and slow recovery (according to them), pretty much the same as with Palace (before the current injury).
Palace fans seem to have endless patience with "sick notes", but very little patience with honest tryers like Campbell, (whose career was badly affected by a bad injury early on). There is even a bunch of enthusiasts keen to buy Sturridge.

I ******* hate threads like this. They're classic examples of fans viewing players as somehow not human. That they're some kind of commodity that can be cast aside and viewed down upon. The way some of you lot talk about other HUMAN BEINGS is seriously ******* shitty.

We say the same about Jonny Williams who came through our ranks and didn't cost £9m.

I do however rate CW and really wish he gets over all his injuries. He is our version of Jack Wilshere. Class player who can make a difference, but needs to make a difference on the pitch.

His header vs Watford in the FA Cup was proof of this.
