The one everyone will remember is the Freddie Sears ghost goal. However, I seem to remember some other last minute heartache from other fixtures in addition to that game.

Time to give them some payback!
0-1 Palace in the playoff ? Watson then missed a pen to put us 0-2 and through to a PO Wembley final. We then got beaten in ET

Certainly not a happy hunting ground but maybe we are due a bit of luck down there?!

Remember them beating us in the League Cup at Ashton Gate when they were in the 3rd Division 4-1.

At least it is not a boring draw like City or Southampton away.

I went there another time a few years back and thought we had cracked it. 2 up thanks to Wilf and a pen from Ambrose with about 10 mins left they pegged us back to 2-2 and should have won it at the death.

Think that 4-1 was 88-89. Bit unpleasant afterwards which was always the way down there.

I'll never forget those 6 year old little shits outside Ashton Gate after the play-off game giving the wanker signs to the Palace coaches as we drove off. Let's ******* smash them.

They got a last minute penalty to equalise in one of Burley's last games as well one year. This fixture brings back many memories alright, nearly all negative.

I think that side was when we'd just won promotion, but Bristol were doing well in league 1 at the time. The performance was just as abysmal as the previous summer under Freedman.

Remember after that game as well the Bristol City fan who came on here to tell us all how we were really going to struggle, that none of our players would get in their team and that things were looking so good for the mighty Bristol. He was quoted one or twice as the season progressed!!!

Yes that's right it was 88-89 pretty hostile down there.

Can't remember the last time we beat them at Ashton Gate.

And never came back. Like QPR fans and the best of the lot - a Huddersfield fan before Portsmouth and Stockport. He was an early twitter/facebook prototype.

Yes, the game before millwall.

You could've also had the following season, when they came from 2 down with 15 minutes to go to draw 2-2.

We (plus 200k Yannick Bolasie) went up that season and they got relegated.

The poster's name was Volt and this was what he posted

Now I'm not here to rub it in but you were utterly atrocious. A few things I noticed about your side.

You need Paddy McCarthy back, without him your defence looked all over the place, Martin and Ramage were poor and Clearly had no confidence in each other, it looked like they needed a leader and neither of them would do it.

Garvan and Kiglagoi? Easily the 2 worst footballers I have seen at the gate in years, I dot think Garvan touched the ball once in te entire game, and Kiglagoi? Is slow, uninterested and over weight. Someone needs to have a word with him, for those not at the game don't let his goal hide the fact he was abysmal throughout.

Ultimately you are completely reliant on Zaha, Wilbrahim would look decent in a better side but he was clearly getting frustrated. Da Silva looked tidy when he came on, but apart from Zaha you had no threat from out wide at all, and you couldn't handle Skuse, who sat in the middle and dictated play.

Woolford and Adomah on the flanks really made hay, against a side completely lost of their confidence. The only player who got his foot in what Zedinak? The one who looks like a Trojan, but again he had so little quality on the ball just a hard worker.

Based on that you will go down, your squad depth and quality is just not good enough, where as we have improved greatly and are starting to please decent passing football, with the exception of Zaha it was all hoofball.....he goes or gets injured, your down.

Those blaming Freedman, if he has no money what can he do? Granted Ramage looked shitte but he really needs to bring some quality in, if the board won't back him then I think yor in real trouble.

O, and to that clown who posted that Speeroni, Moxey, Parr, Garvan, diglagoi, Zedinak and Wilbrahim would get into our side? Get in the real world. You should be emBarrassed stating such nonsense after the shitte you served up last night.

As for us, we are much improved as you saw, Cunningham at left back marshalled Zaha very well, and Woolford, Adomah and Taylor ripped ur lot apart, but for me Skuse MOM, dictated play and far too good for your midfield.

Thoughts?

He did post a couple of replies to some obvious abuse he got, but was never heard from again after that night.

His spelling wasn't very good either - Is Zedinak the only only person to have played for us beginning with Z apart from Zaha ??!!

Not these wankers again.

Had some horrible flashbacks when their name popped up in the draw.

Hope we destroy them, but as I said earlier in the thread I would've rather avoided the Championship teams. Reckon they'll throw everything at us like they did against Stoke last night.
